Edward 'Eddie' Baker

1957-2002

(Paraphrased) ROCKWELL - "The funeral was held Thursday, June 6th, for Edward Madison "Eddie" Baker, 44, Rockwell, who died Monday (June 3, 2002) at Rowan Regional Medical Center, Salisbury.

Born Sept. 12, 1957, in Rowan County, Mr. Baker was a son of the late Marvin Edward and Evelyn Gray Baker. He was educated in the Rowan County schools and held an associate degree in computer networking from Rowan-Cabarrus Community College. He retired from the U.S. Air Force after 20 years and was of the Lutheran faith.

Survivors include wife Donna Wagner Baker, whom he married Dec. 24, 1976; son Matthew Baker, of the home; daughter Ryann Baker, of the home; brother Kyle Madison, Salisbury; and sister Karen Isenhour, Salisbury."


Eddie was laid to rest with full military honors. The chaplain and honor guard did him right. In addition to his family and local friends, Eddie's funeral was attended by former crewmates Bert, Cracker, Ernie, Joey, Mick, Pulsar, and TJ.

Had some good times with you, man! Sorry we pushed your buttons so many times on those Charlie Crew mids, but you made it so easy, it was impossible to resist. We held a wake in your honor and will miss you. Fare thee well, Dude!
